Scope
These draft terms cover the Joints & Java website, accounts, public member profiles, and project services. Each mod also has its own agreements and distribution terms. Those project-specific agreements remain separate; this page does not replace a project's license or third-party rules.
Projects
THC provides music-driven Minecraft experiences and relay-backed features. CBD provides a browser display and device-control experience. CBN provides an HTML interface runtime and is in active alpha development. Unannounced projects are not currently offered as available products.
Accounts and invitations
Keep passwords and invitation keys private. Use only accounts and profiles assigned to you. Do not impersonate another member. Public titles, aliases, and names are presentation fields; changing them does not grant a website rank or staff permissions.
Public profiles
A published profile can show your avatar, name, title, aliases, status, Bio, and chosen social links. Publish only material you have permission to share. Do not add private information about someone else. You can edit or unpublish your assigned profile from Account.
Private account information
Contact and recovery emails are not part of public profiles. They are used for account communication and verification when delivery is enabled. Claiming a domain address reserves a name on this website; it does not create a working mailbox or establish email ownership.
Minecraft ownership
A website account and a Minecraft account are separate identities. Linking requires the relevant project's ownership-verification flow. An entered username is not proof of ownership. Project verification is separate until a unified system is ready.
Support and third-party services
Patreon and Ko-fi process support through their own platforms. Their terms and policies also apply. Support does not automatically grant staff access, ownership of a project, or a public member profile. No new refund policy or guaranteed release schedule is established by this draft.
Acceptable use
Do not compromise website accounts, interfere with website or relay infrastructure, distribute malicious content through profiles, expose private data, or abuse support/report tools. Server gameplay rules remain the responsibility of the server operator.
Music, media, and external links
Use media you are authorized to share. Hosted images, YouTube embeds, and external social links involve their respective providers. Linking to a track does not transfer music rights to Joints & Java or to another user.
Availability and development builds
Alpha and development builds can change and may contain bugs. A pending button, email address, or verification section is not an active service. Back up worlds and configuration before trying development builds. No uninterrupted service or compatibility with every mod is promised.
Privacy and retention
The website stores account identity, password hashes or provider identity, private contact settings, profile content, and relevant security/support records. Records are used for sign-in, permissions, account support, and abuse prevention. Private email settings are returned only to the signed-in account; mail administration is owner-restricted. A final retention schedule and complete privacy notice are still awaiting owner review.
Cookies
Essential cookies support sign-in and request security. Accepting the cookie notice stores that preference for one year. Dismissing the notice without accepting does not store acceptance, so it returns on refresh. Project preferences and third-party embeds may use additional browser storage.
Changes and contact
The owner must review this draft before treating it as final website terms. Material changes should be published here. Use the relevant project's support/report page for an account or privacy request while direct email delivery is pending.
